At its core, sound healing is a holistic practice that encourages deep relaxation and fosters a profound sense of peace and tranquillity. The resonant frequencies of sound healing instruments penetrate our being, interacting with our cells and activating our body's innate healing mechanisms.
Sound healing can have profound effects on our overall well-being. Here are some of the benefits that can be experienced:
Sound Healing seeks to bring the body's frequencies into alignment with its natural vibrational state, thereby promoting health, well-being, and harmony. In the context of chakras, each chakra corresponds to a Solfeggio frequency, exposure to the appropriate frequency can stimulate the corresponding chakra and help restore it to its optimal state of balance. The six main Solfeggio frequencies and their associated chakras are:
Root Chakra - 396 Hz
The root chakra, also known as Muladhara, is associated with the feeling of safety and grounding. This chakra is stimulated by the solfeggio frequency of 396 Hz, which is said to help with anxiety and fear. Tuning in to this frequency can help ground and stabilise us, connecting us to our natural state of feeling safe and secure.
Sacral Chakra - 417 Hz
The sacral chakra, or Svadhisthana, relates to creativity, pleasure, and sexuality. The solfeggio frequency of 417 Hz is said to help with creative visualisation and increase our sexual energy and pleasure. Balancing this chakra can help us connect to our creative side and manifest our desires.
Solar Plexus Chakra - 528 Hz
The solar plexus chakra, or Manipura, is linked to our power, will, and determination. The solfeggio frequency of 528 Hz stimulates this chakra, associated with personal power and confidence. Tuning in to this frequency can help us reconnect with who we are, make decisions from a place of strength, and enhance mental clarity.
Heart Chakra - 639 Hz
The heart chakra, or Anahata, is associated with our ability to love both ourselves and others. The solfeggio frequency of 639 Hz is said to heal old wounds and foster relationships based on love and understanding. It also helps us connect with our higher self, opening our hearts to giving and receiving love.
Throat Chakra - 741 Hz
The throat chakra, also known as Vishuddha, is responsible for our ability to communicate our needs and desires. The solfeggio frequency of 741 Hz stimulates this chakra, helping us express our authentic voices and connect with our higher selves. This frequency can also aid with creative visualisation and manifestation.
Third Eye Chakra - 852 Hz
The third eye chakra, or Ajna, is associated with our ability to see clearly, both physically and intuitively. The solfeggio frequency of 852 Hz can help open up our intuition, allowing us to see things more clearly. It also aids with meditation and relaxation.
Crown Chakra - 963 Hz
The crown chakra, or Sahasrara, represents our highest state of consciousness and our connection with the Divine. The solfeggio frequency of 963 Hz stimulates this chakra, helping us connect with the Divine and our higher selves. Tuning in to this frequency can promote feelings of peace and bliss, aligning us with our spiritual purpose.

Pregnant women are advised to be cautious when participating in any form of sound healing, especially during the first 12 weeks, by avoiding sound instruments being placed on the body, and anyone with serious mental health issues should always consult their doctor before receiving sound therapy. Those with sound-induced epilepsy should always consult their doctor to ensure they receive the best anti-epileptic medication and are in no danger of seizures caused by healing sounds vibrations. For people with an implanted heart pacemaker, stent, or shunt, always keep the sound instruments at a minimum distance of 20 cm, and never use them directly on or near metal implants. In case of any prior nerve damage, avoid sound healing, and do not place any instruments near open wounds or scars that are not yet healed.
